I've contemplated writing this review for the past five months as it is emotional labor having to recount this horrible experience. ![]() Unsurprisingly she refused to comply with my demands and stood there holding it. I was assertive, demanding that I would like to put my coat on myself. Instead, they called the same waiter who deliberately ignored me the entire night to bring my jacket over and have her hold it for me as I put it on. There was no explanation for the lack of care and service I received. I told them that I would write a scathing review, and the waiter was indifferent to my grievances and was not interested in making up for this poor experience. To add insult to injury, they didn't even have the decency to have the house comp my wine after expressing my discontent with the service. I'm not sure what is more insulting they never provided me a menu or assumed I made a reservation two weeks prior just to sit and drink one house wine. At that moment, I realized I wasn't welcomed and asked for my check to leave. I finally flagged someone asking for a menu, and they seemed pretty irritated that I had asked for one. Remember, I was the first person at this restaurant, and all I had in front of me was a house wine with a drop left. At this time, half of the restaurant was filled with patrons who had their main entrees on their tables. However, once I realized an hour had passed, and no one had asked if I wanted a menu or even questioned if I was planning to dine for an appetizer or dinner, I had enough. I know you may be wondering how I could sit through an hour at a restaurant not being served food or offered a menu, but I am a pretty patient woman who knows how to keep herself busy on her phone. If the language barrier was such an issue, why did they not reassign my table to another waiter because several waiters spoke English. Throughout the entire hour, I had been trying to make eye contact with my waitress, who was avoiding me. However, another twenty minutes goes by, and more people are entering the restaurant and being provided a wine menu and a dinner menu. So I assumed that's why they had yet to provide me with a menu. She gave me a new glass and never returned to my table for the rest of the night.įor the first 20 minutes, I observed the kitchen staff preparing as the kitchen was visible to restaurant go-ers through glass windows. I'll chalk this up to a language barrier as I don't think she understood me, but five minutes later, she came with another glass after one of her colleagues may have explained that she had made a mistake. I tried a sample of the first red wine and expressed that I did not particularly appreciate having tasted it however, she continued pouring despite my dislike. I explained I did not want a dry, and a staff member suggested the two options of red wine would suit my preferences. A staff member took my jacket and provided me wine menu. I was looking forward to eating here, given the rave reviews online and a personal recommendation I received by a fellow American living in Switzerland. I arrived at the time of my reservation, the restaurant's opening time. I was genuinely appalled by the deplorable and dismissive quality of customer care and service for a Michelin Star restaurant. I want to express my profound disappointment with my experience at your restaurant Le Flacon. greater attention to the customer and his requests slightly larger portions (it is unacceptable to leave a restaurant after paying 120 euros each and still being hungry) In places with a Michelin star, I expect the utmost attention to every customer, even considering the price you pay for such an experience. ![]() ![]() Service a little inattentive, we have not even been explained the small patisserie.Īnother reason that prompted me to cast this vote is that by email they assured me that there would be at least one candle on my girlfriend's cake but, when the dessert was brought to me, it didn't have any candles on it. The dessert was too bitter from the orange and grapefruit.
